From Ground work to First Swim
Here's How we do it
At Ocean Reef Pools, we believe transparency is key. That’s why we’ve outlined exactly what to expect during your pool installation journey. Working with Barrier Reef Pools’ award-winning shells and our experienced in-house team, we follow a proven process that ensures your pool is installed to the highest standards every time.
Step 1
Every project starts with an initial site inspection. We'll discuss your vision, check site access and review positioning to make sure your pool is perfect fit for your backyard.
Step 2
Once approved, we carefully mark out the pool's dimensions on-site so you can see exactly where it will sit. Excavation then begins, with our team preparing the ground to precise levels, ready for the pool shell.
Step 3
After excavation, your fibreglass pool shell is delivered and lowered into position. We carefully check levels and alignment so your pool sits perfectly in place.
Step 4
Our team installs all required plumbing and filtration systems, before backfilling around the shell with stabilised material to secure it in place. Each step is compacted and checked to maintain structural integrity
Step 5
A reinforced concrete bond beam is poured around the pool's edge to lock the structure in place. This beam also creates the foundation for coping tiles and surrounds.
Step 6
Once the structure is complete, we move onto the finishing touches. Coping tiles, paving or concrete are installed to complement your backyard designs. This is where your outdoor space really comes to life.
Step 7
After a final clean, fencing installed, balancing chemicals and running final checks, it's time for handover. We've partnered with On Top Pools Services Mackay who will guide you through pool operation, care and maintenance.
